What is bookmarker?
bookmarker is a free bookmark manager for iPhone and the web that collects everything you
save on Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube and the open web into one library, files every save into a
topic automatically, and lets you find it again later. It is for people who save hundreds or thousands of
posts across several apps and can never find any of them again.
Every app keeps its own saved list. None of them talk to each other, almost nothing in them has a title
worth reading, and there is no subject to browse by — so you end up with five separate piles of things you
meant to come back to. bookmarker is the layer above all of them. A saved item is a bork.
What it does
Save from anywhere
Tap Share in any iPhone app and pick bookmarker, or paste a link here on the web. The title, the
account that posted it and a thumbnail come along where the platform publishes them.
It files itself
Every bork lands in a topic and subtopic — Fitness › Mobility, Recipes › Meal prep. Fifty
topics, 612 subtopics, your own subtopics on top, and every suggestion is overridable. Keyword matching
does it on the spot and offline; signed in, the links it cannot place go to our server, which asks a
language model.
Browse two ways
By topic, to see everything about running wherever it came from. Or by source app, to see everything
you kept from TikTok. Each view filters the other.
Find it again
Search the title, the account, any post text that came with the save, your tags, your notes, the topic
and subtopic, the source app and the link — and narrow a search to topics, subtopics or tags when a word
is too common.
Notes, and a memory
Add a dated note so you remember why you kept something. bookmarker also counts how many times you
have gone back to it — the signal platform bookmarks throw away.
Bring what you already saved
Import your browser bookmarks, or the data export from X, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, and thousands
of old saves become a filed, searchable library in one step.
How it works
- Share. In Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, tap Share and pick bookmarker. On X, tap Share
and then “Share via…”. Pin bookmarker to the front of the share sheet once and it is the first icon from
then on.
- Bork. The link, the title, the account and a thumbnail are recorded on the spot.
Saving is one tap; organising is optional and can happen later.
- Filed. It lands in a topic and subtopic, ready to browse, search, annotate and open —
straight back to the original post in the app it came from.
What it costs
bookmarker is free on the App Store, for iOS 17 or later. Your first 20 saves need no account at all. Past
20, signing up is also free — an email address and a six-digit code, no password to invent — and makes the
library unlimited, backs it up, and makes it readable here on the web. There is no paid tier in the app and
nothing in it costs money.
Common questions
Which apps can I save from?
Any app with an iOS share sheet. bookmarker recognises Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, YouTube
Shorts, Threads, Pinterest and ordinary web pages, and labels each save with where it came from.
Does bookmarker copy the posts I save?
No. It stores the link, the title, the account and a thumbnail where one is published, and opening a
save sends you to the original. It is not an archive: if the original is deleted, the link dies with it.
What exactly can I search?
Titles, accounts, tags, notes, topics, subtopics, the source app, the link, and whatever post text came
with the save — the description a page published, or the full post body when the save arrived in an X data
export. What bookmarker never does is open the page behind the link, so the body of an article, a PDF or a
video transcript is not indexed. There is no quoted-phrase operator either — several words mean “all of
these must appear”.
Will I get thumbnails for Instagram, TikTok and X?
Often not. YouTube and most web pages publish the metadata bookmarker reads; Instagram, TikTok and X
usually do not publish it to an unauthenticated request, so those saves often arrive with a plain title
and no image. The save, the filing and the search still work.
Is there an Android app?
No. There is an iPhone app and this web app, which runs in any modern browser — including on Android and
on a desktop — once you have signed in.
